VXD VMM Errors

Anybody ever come across this “blue screen of death” error message?

A fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:C0005338 in VXD VMM (01) +00004338. The current application will be terminated.

Happens when logging onto a network (Netware Client) just after entering name & password etc. Has also occurred when logging off too.

Machine is AMD K6-III 450, 128RAM, 4.3HDD running Win98(2nd) and Office’97.

I’ve checked the M$ Knowledge database, but didn’t find anything… that matched.
Any clues?

Same machine craps out of Word aswell… occassionly – “illegal operation” Could this be related?
