WD Caviar 34000 How do I access?

by ldison . Updated 24 years, 12 months ago

I have been building computers for several years and know better. I was testing a Pentium system and placed a good W/D Caviar 34000 HD in it. 4 Gig. It has Windows 98 on it. Like a dummy, I know better, I unplugged it while the system board was still on. Now, when I put it as a slave or primary it locks up the boot up sequence. I took another one to Drive service three years ago with the same problem. They asked if I had ez drive DM, I did v6. In ten minutes they had it back with the same serial number on the drive. I brought it home and it worked. I would like to know how they did it. And how I can do the same.
I woudl like to save the drive.

As the last resort I have another drive of the same type and same size and could swap disks.

Can you help?

Thank you, Lloyd
