What RAID is best … Oracle8i?

We are looking into changing platforms to a “RedHat Linux 6.2”. The database being used is “Oracle 8i”. We have a hardware RAID available for usage, and hope that clustering will available.

1) What type of RAID will give us the best performance?
2) Is it possible to do clustering with RedHat systems sharing the same hardware storage – or will Oracle do that for us – or should we research more?
3) Can you add any insight into this matter?
