What’s Wrong

I was upgrading a system form 24 ram to 124 ram on a 300mhz computer. When I placed in the new memory and turned on the computer all I got was a intermidiate beeping. when I tried to replace the old memory we got the same thing. We get no video also. Can someone let me know what’s wrong
