Why Access vs. SQL?

I have a customer who wants to “sell” their board on moving a MISSION CRITICAL application from ACCESS to SQL. I can’t find any supporting WRITTEN documentation as to the benifits although I KNOW SQL is consideralby more robust than ACCESS
