Here are the details:
I have two couputers one w98 the other WME.
I use Wingate 3.x to share a modem and phone line
I use Netscape 4.7x, on both computers
I use IE and Outlook Express 4x on the Win98 PC
I use IE and Outlook Express 5.5x on the ME box
The W98 PC is the Wingate server
I can surf all day, download any file I want, no problem. But when I try to upload a large file, fill out a form like the one for HotJobs.com, The connection hangs. It stays connected, but seems to time out and to regain a useful connection I have to close and restart DUN.
Now if I use my Laptop with W95, IE 4x and Netscape 4.5 – I do not have the problem so I assume it is not my ISP.
Also, I am using an old version Norton AV on the Wingate Server, A new version of Mcafee AV on the wME client.
I have been through all of the DUN, Wingate Home and modem properties and do not see anything unusual.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
