win 95b and acer configuration for quick

I am working on an Acer computer with a V65LA motherboard. When shutdown the system does not go on to the final shutdown screen. It remains in the Windows is now shutting down (logow.sys) state. Has anyone worked on these machines who might know what the culprit maybe?
