Win 98 logon to NT Server

Got the message “No domain Servers available…etc” User account is ok, cables ok. Can ping server OK.
machine is Windows 98 seceod edition.
Server is using DHCP..NO WINS.
Just refuses to logon to Network. Looked at Technet but????
Any ideas..Thanks
