Win Me versus 2k

I have the misfortune of running Windows Me on a 500 Mhtz, 64 MB RAM system with a cable modem. I have MacAfee Anti-virus and ZoneAlarm firewall in my start-up bundle. I like to run IE 5.0, StarOffice, and maybe Outlook Express simultaneously.

The BSOD has become a good friend of mine. Will I have better luck avoiding this if I swithch OS to W2k?
