Win XP cd rom problem

After installing a new sound card and blowing out mobo with ‘Microduster Air can’, the cd-rom reads about half the time. Some cds it will read and some it won’t. Also, sometimes the PC will keep rebooting Windows when shutting down. Do you think that blowing out the mobo with the air can might have blown something harmfull onto the mobo to make this happen?
