WIN2000 Internet Sharing

Need a little insight on ICS. I can make a connection to my computer with the modem and can browse the web. The problem is that the modem will hang up when I am finished but it keeps reconnecting even though no browsers are open. How can I stop the connection for connecting when I am through?
