HP Omnibook 6000 Laptop
Docking station
connected to a HP 4050TNlaser printer
On Novel Network using 2000 client.
User can not print to printer. Using the troubleshooting reccomendations in the Win2K:
1) I removed the laptop from the the docking station and connected directly
2) Changed Printer Cable
3) Deleted drivers, rebooted system installed new ones and did NOT keep existing drivers
4) Connected to a different printer, loaded drivers for that printer (known working) and used another new cable.
5) Removed client and NDPS and reinstalled
No matter what I do, the user can not print locally to any printer.
Also, when I go to start/setting/printers/ and right click on the driver, and click properties, the screen goes blank and all the icons on the system tray dissapear and slowly come back, one at a time, like during boot secquence.
Does anyone ahve any suggestions? Thanks
