win95 cann’t see the 2nd physical drive

I have 2 physical drives (c & D). D is 1.5GB. I carved away 500MB and installe Linux. when I went to windows I was able to see both drives except for the Linux part…That is fine, but at one time I wasn’t able to see the whole of the D drive. I tried to partition it from win95, it failed.I closed down win95 and opened DOS mode and was able to partiion d into D and E.
Went back to win95,still cannot see the drives(D&E, neither was I able to see them from MSDOS in win95.However, I was able to see them and the files when restarting the computer in DOS mode.
I think the problem is in my win95. If there are some missing files, could someone help and send me these files, or is it another problem???
