Win95 systems will not take NIC drivers

I have three systems which will not accept their token ring drivers. After I install these drivers, and restart, the New Hardware Wizrd appears and the process starts again. I have gone so far as to remove all networking components and edit the registry. I have spent many hours with tech support, and upwards of two days searching the web for some help with this one. All with no luck
