Win98 Powerup

I just built a new system, using MSI K7T Pro-2a motherboard w/ AMD Athlon 1 gig chip. Running Win98. When system was coming up I accidently stepped on the powerstrip and shut it down during bootup. Now each time I powerup it goes to the screen were you can select 1. Normal, 2. boot.txt, 3.?, 4. safe mode, 5……
I have checked all devices and nothing seems to be out of line. Have removed the video driver (GeForce 2 MX) and let system find it again. Also can’t get my modem (Boca WinStorm)installed, not even recognized using PnP.
