Win98 Says I haven’t got enough memory!

I have a new computer (PIII, 128MB memory), and when I try to load certain software, I get a message that I need more than 1MB of memory. What is the problem and what do I need to do to make these programs recognize that I have 128MB of memory.

What can I do…I need an answer by midnight July 9th..thanx
