Windows 2000 batch file doesn’t run

I am having a problem getting a batch file to run on a Windows 2000 server. I can run it through task scheduler, a desktop icon, or at the command prompt. But when it is called from another program, it doesn’t. The same setup works fine on a Win98 box. Does anyone know why the batch file won’t run?
