Windows 2000 incomp with lcd projectors

Anyone else had issues with projection truncations or input problems when using Dell laptops with Win 2000? Is it the video driver or is it something worse? Software people say it is the projectors problem while LCD manufacurers aren’t buying that Any opinions/ Thanks
