Windows 2000 replication

I have two seperate Windows 2000 domains. Each one has seperate AD structure. I would like to give users access to resources on both domain. I started by setting DNS so I have name resolution but that did not work. What do I need to do so I users logging into one domain can share resources in the other domain.
