Windows 2K Boots in Slow motion

HI!
Ok I “exploded” win2K on a brand new Compaq Deskpro En Small form factor 866mhz. I installed the wrong version of Mcafee so I uninstalled it. It didn’t prompt to reboot, but, I did anyway. Now It takes forever to boot, I clocked it at 30 minutes and I eventually got a blank screen, after I logged in (after 15 minutes). Anyone ever here ever see anything like this? I’m dieing to get to the registry, but, even in safe mode no deal. Last known good doesn’t work either. Ran HD diags as well. HELP!
