After setting up a small peer-to-peer network at home, the one Win 98 SE machine takes forever to boot up. When it gets to the Windows 98 logo with the blue sky and clouds in the background, it sits there for about 2 full minutes. No hard drive lights, no noise. It’s not actually hung either because it will continue on with the boot process and then boots up just fine. Is this normal? I have a Windows ME machine and Windows 2000 on the network and there is no effect on them. Thanks in advance.
