Windows detected a registry error

“Windows detected a registry error.” I get this message at least once or twice a week. I am running Win98SE, 450 Celeron, 128M. My “goof around” PC. I thought it might be dirty power so I have a line conditioner and it stopped for awhile but is now back with a vengance. I have tried everything I can think of.

Any hints or ideas?
