Windows Explorer password

I use a windows 98 PC and set a password on Windows Explorer to limit my childrens viewing rights. Yes thats right I have forgotten the password and can see nothing on the Internet now myself and am having to use Netscape instead. I have tried reloading Explorer, reloading Windows but it always picks up my last set up preferences.
Where is the password stored, and how can I best remove it
