Windows ME Hibernation problem

I have a user with a Dell DImension 4100. He upgraded from 128mb to 512mb. Since then, his hibernation does not work. It is enabled in the power settings. He cannot go directly to hibernation from the shut down menu either.

He reinstalled ACPI with no helpful results.

Any suggestions?
