Here i have Duron-750, 6.5 GB Samsung Hard drive, Soltek SL-75KAV for my motherboard, S3 Savage 4 32MB for my video card, Realtek NIC, and 2x64MB=128 MB of SDRAM…
I am going to upgrade a memory….i have only one free dimm bank on my motherboard so i buy a new 64MB SDRAM…i put it in the bank……So know, i have 192MB SDRAM..
BIOS IS IN DEFAULT SETTING.
I boot it up…the bios memory checkers starts to count and it detects 192MB so its ok…
But when windows starts….Error Occurs saying “Error in Accessing the Registry”….and Exlorer.exe has performed illegal operation…and a button there…”OK”..so you don’t have option you’re going to press that button. After pressing that button, the computer reboots…and go to Scanreg…for backing up the registry….and reboot and scanreg again….every booting…
so in that case i say, it is the new memory, so i troubleshoot the new memory….
(TROUBLESHOOTING THE NEW MEMORY)
First i removed the 2 old memory the systemrun ok..
i put only the 2 old memory..the system run;s ok…
So i decided that it is not a memory…
and now a reinstall the system with 192 MB..the problem persist again…
i remove one of my old memory so it will be 128MB (the new one and the old one)…it runs ok…
Then i back again the another old RAM…and the problem persist again….
For this time…i don’t know what to do….how can i run the system with 192MB of memory. Is there i need to change in the BIOS?
IS using 192MB of RAM is better than 128MB? is there a big difference? or it will give me…a problem like this??
HOpe!!!11
