Running Windows 98 on a 650 PIII with 128 Megs of RAM. Just recently installed a DSL modem in the port where a 56k modem was and moved the 56k to a different port. When I go into the control panel and look under modems, the DSL is not recongnized yet it loads in the start up menu. But the real problem is, Windows takes about 10 minutes to load up. So far no one has figured out why. The system, DSL and Sound are the only things that load up at start up. What can be causing such a long loadtime?
