Windows XP

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows XP on it. I went to install my scanner (HP ScanJet3200) and when I install it it says that the disk is not NT compatible. I’m assuming I can just to to the HP website and get a patch for that. WhenI installed my printer (HP882) it instatlled correctly but I have a problem. I can print when in WORKS or WORD but when I try to print when signed onto the internet (AOL 7.0 version) my printer sits idle. I get no response from it. Any ideas or suggestions?
