Windows XP laptop to display on TV

My client has a Windows XP laptop. We have the video in/out cable (yellow). She also has a Sharp TV (Model 32N-S500). We want to be able to hook the laptop up to the TV in the conference room, so we can show PowerPoint presentations on it. Any advice would be helpful and can earn you a share of the points.
