Windows2000 Networking

I just upgraded a Netfinity 3000 server to Windows 2000 Pro. I have an IBM Thinkpad on the network with the same. Both are fine but I have one workstation still running
Windows98. I cannot get the workstation to connect now with the network. Has anyone seen compatability problems with the 2? All three are ID’d WORKGROUP and all have IP addresses in sequence.
