I have a Linksys Wireless Router (Cable/DSL) BEFW11S4 / Ver 2. and a Linksys Wireless PC Card WPC11 / Ver 3. The card is in a Toshiba Laptop (Satellite). I can get the link up between the PC and the router, but I can’t share the files or printers on the Desktop PC that I am tryin to get to. I get a pop up message the “XXX(pcname) is not accessible”
” Windows cannot find the computer or share name. Make sure the computer or share name is valid and that you are connected to the network, and then try again”.
The desktop is running windows ME and the LT is running XP Home. When I go to my Network Places I can see the other computer, but can’t get to the printers or files on the desktop or vice versa.
I have done the same setup but with and hardwired LAN and it works great. We have tried a new router and Lan card, withe the same results.
Any Ideas would be appreciated.
