Wiring new House With Cat5e

by rickvohs . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

I am buying a new home from a developer. The house is under construction now. They have hired an electrician to run Video, Electrical and Cat5 cable. The electrician has bundled these together throughout the attic and walls. Iwas told that there should be a 6″ gap between the electrical and datacomm wire when run parrallel and they should only cross on 90 degree paths. Can someone clarify this for me and direct me to some published information regarding this. I need to show them some documentation to prove this, they are playing dumb on these specs.

Thanks
Rick
