WLAN in small business environment

I have several small business ckients who are considering a wireless lan (10-40 nodes) and would like comments on others’ experience in this environment. Please comment on hardware, preferred vendor, costs, time frame, security issues, etc.

Is one vendor solution preferable to another? Prices can differ greatly for hardware.
