Wont delete logical drive in ext prt

I used a me boot disk and partitioned and formatted my drive. Primary and extended with two logical drives.C,D,E. When I ran setup it would begin tell me it was compressed and then sit at scanning the registry. i am now using a 98se boot disk and want to delete the logical drives. It let me delete e but tells me d label is not valid. the label says * Remote * and I enter it exactly but it tells me this is invalid.Any ideas?
