Xerox DocuTech file save problem

We are running a Xerox DocuTech 135 with a Novell Netware 3.11 server. The proprietary keyboard that is hard-wired to the DocuTech does not have a “backslash” so we cannot save files to our server using a normal filepath. “Forward slash” does not perform the same, regardless of what Xerox says. Ideas???
