Yellow Screen of Death?

by ladin . Updated 25 years, 8 months ago

I have a little issue with my computer that i’m not sure exactly how to fix. Occasionallly when i boot up my computer, just before it reaches the desktop(when you can see the cursor but no icons yet) the computer will freeze and these little verticle yellow lines will appear at the top of my screen. They run the whole length of the screen and are about 1/2in long. I have tried all the latest drivers and even old drivers for my e-VGA TNT2 M64 w/32mb ram and nothing will get rid of it for sure. Inoticed over time that its happening less and less, now about 1 out of every 10 boots and before it was about 3 times attempting to boot before a successful boot would occur. Dont know whats up with that. This happens in both win98 and winme but i have no problems in win2k for some reason. I have also tried all the latest AGP drivers for my ABIT KA7 Motherboard. By the way, I used to have a different motherboard in this computer and the same exact thing still happened. I also have the latest bios flash for my card. Any input would be great.
