zip files

Hello
I am having trouble opening a zip file that was sent to me in an email as an attachment. Its opening with Netscape Nav. I have been trying for three days to get this open what am I doing wrong. I double click on the attachment and it ask me to save the file to a disk or open it. I have to open it from its location because its to large for a disk. It will show that the program is saved but then I still cant get it open. HELP!!!
