Leaked Pixel Watch 5 renders reveal every color, both case sizes, and Google’s familiar design ahead of the Made by Google event on August 12.

Google’s next smartwatch is already out in the open. High-resolution renders published by The Tide Chart in collaboration with OnLeaks show the Pixel Watch 5 in four finishes and two case sizes weeks before Google’s Made by Google event on August 12.

The images suggest Google is retaining the rounded, pebble-style design introduced with earlier Pixel Watch models, including the domed display, side crown, proprietary band attachment system, and side-mounted charging contacts.

That means existing Pixel Watch bands are expected to remain compatible, according to details reported by The Tide Chart.

The unchanged exterior suggests Google may be prioritizing refinement over a major hardware redesign. While the familiar shape reinforces the Pixel Watch’s visual identity, the new model may need meaningful improvements in battery life, performance, or health tracking to stand apart from its predecessor.

Beyond confirming the overall design, the leaked renders reported by The Tide Chart provide the clearest look yet at the Pixel Watch 5’s rumored finishes and updated software interface.

The Warm Gold option appears to be limited to the smaller 41mm model in the leaked materials, while the larger 45mm version is shown in the other three finishes. However, reports note that a 45mm Warm Gold model cannot yet be ruled out.

The images also reveal a new watch face featuring an analog clock design, wavy background graphics, and a Gemini shortcut displayed prominently.

Two sizes, LTE options, and possible connectivity upgrades

The leaked information points to Google continuing its current strategy of offering the Pixel Watch 5 in 41mm and 45mm sizes, with both Wi-Fi-only and LTE versions available.

Four Pixel Watch 5 model numbers reportedly appeared in FCC filings on June 29, with the filings indicating LTE support for some models. The same reports suggest the lineup could include satellite emergency SOS, ultra-wideband connectivity, and Wi-Fi 6.

These connectivity features would position the Pixel Watch 5 as a more capable standalone device, particularly for users who rely on cellular connectivity or emergency features away from their phones.

Possible price increase raises questions

The biggest concern from the leaks is pricing. Reports suggest Google could increase the starting price by $50 compared with the Pixel Watch 4. The 41mm Wi-Fi model is expected to start at $399, while higher-end LTE and larger models could climb to $529, according to The Tide Chart.

The rumored increase puts more pressure on Google to deliver meaningful improvements in battery life, performance, and health features. While leaks have mentioned a possible new “wearable-class Tensor chip” and larger batteries, those details remain unconfirmed.

Google’s challenge: Making refinement feel like progress

The Pixel Watch 5 leak shows Google is taking a cautious approach with its next smartwatch. A consistent design and familiar accessories could appeal to existing Pixel Watch owners, but consumers upgrading from the previous generation may expect more than new colors and a refreshed watch face.

If Google does introduce improvements behind the scenes, such as better battery efficiency or stronger performance, the Pixel Watch 5 could strengthen its position in the Wear OS market. But if the changes are mostly cosmetic, a higher price could make the upgrade decision harder for buyers, especially with strong competition from Apple and Samsung.

Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 5 at its Made by Google event on August 12, when the company should confirm final specifications, pricing, and availability.
