The same iPhone can carry a sharply different price tag across Southeast Asia. Among five regional markets where Apple publishes directly comparable prices, the Philippines charges the most for the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro, while Singapore tops the list for the 256GB Pro Max.
Malaysia is the least expensive of the five for both models. For companies buying devices across APAC, those differences make a single regional hardware allowance difficult to apply.
Preorders opened Sept. 12 in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, with availability beginning Sept. 18. Those markets are part of Apple’s rollout across more than 65 countries and regions, alongside Apple’s wider 2026 hardware lineup. Apple has published Philippine prices but has not given the market the same Sept. 18 availability date.
How prices compare across five Southeast Asian markets
Apple’s local prices produce different leaders depending on the model:

The Philippines narrowly leads Vietnam on the base Pro, at about $1,515 versus $1,501 after conversion. The order changes for the Pro Max: Singapore’s S$2,099 converts to about $1,650, ahead of Vietnam at $1,616 and the Philippines at $1,595.
How we compared prices: TechRepublic compared Apple’s official 256GB list prices in the five Southeast Asian markets where the company currently publishes directly comparable local online-store pricing: the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. Countries without equivalent Apple-direct pricing were excluded rather than mixing official prices with reseller listings. Sept. 16 mid-market exchange rates were used for the dollar comparisons, excluding trade-ins, financing, carrier promotions and transaction fees. In Indonesia, for example, Apple directs buyers to authorized resellers.
Regional prices reshape APAC device budgets
A base Pro budget pegged to Malaysia’s roughly $1,360 converted price would be about $155 short of the Philippine price before transaction fees or other costs.
Cross-border purchases may also involve foreign-exchange fees, different tax treatment, warranty considerations and customs costs. Companies with flexible device policies can broaden the comparison: the Pixel 11 Pro starts $100 below the iPhone 18 Pro in the US at the same 256GB capacity.
Moving to an older iPhone may not restore the usual savings, either. Apple raised several previous-generation iPhone prices by $100 following its September launch. At the other end of the range, the $1,999 iPhone Duo creates a different budget calculation for organizations considering whether one foldable can replace an iPhone 18 Pro and iPad mini for mobile work.
For buyers across Southeast Asia, both the country and the model can materially change the final price. The Philippines leads this five-market comparison for the base Pro, while Singapore becomes the most expensive when the purchase shifts to the Pro Max.
