map network drive

By earl.brown ·
I WANT ANY USER TO BE ABLE TO LOG ON TO A WORKSTATION THAT IS SHARED BY 20 USERS AND HAVE A DRIVE MAPED FOR ONE SHARE, I DONT WANT THEM TO HAVE THIS DRIVE MAPED WHEN THEY LOG ON TO OTHER WORKSTATIONS,I DONT WANT TO MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE CURRENT LOG IN SCRIPT. SO CAN I SET UP THE WORKSTATION SO IT MAPS THIS DRIVE EVERY TIME SOME ONE LOGS ON

you can map a drive by right click on network neiborhood and click map network drive. selck the drive letter and type in the drive mapping you want. Check the reconnect at log in box. Do this for each user you want the drive mapping on the workstation for. If with mapp the drive each time they log on and will only be on the one workstation.

You can use file manager and map the drive manually under user's account and click reconnect automatically so that it would only affect that workstation

Rather than map a drive ... try a shortcut in the All Users profile on that PC only.
