I designed a program for a company and I'm try to attach a dollar value to it. Where can I find some guidelines to determine a fair market price for my intellectual property.

So far as I know there is no quantafied value specific to all programs..
Though you should start will all of your cost since inception, put a dollar amount to each hour/day etc. that you spent on project.
Value your product with like kind + % depending on newness/uniqueness etc.Compond said Value times your chosen companies expected use/users and ADD it all up.
Also,Think twice about selling outright, In the long run it will always be better to licence your product because not only do you still "OWN" it but future income can still be derived...
Just food for thought and yes as much as it SUCKS you really should get a shark er..attorney or at least talk to one...
Do not for a sec think one of [mostly all] companies wont use your ideas to spawm there own "NEW" software..
Much Luck...........
