Actually i have two issues that i’m having trouble with.
this is driving me crazy hope someone here can help.
I have a win2000pro O/S sp4 and IE6 sp1 will intermittently NOT open certain links. Ex., I use scottrade for my portfolio and upon access the site all is fine until i try to open stream ing quotes. IE locks up -it’s task mgr. time.
I have re-installed java which seemed to work but the problem returns.
I have re-installed IE6 no go.
The second issue is a bout file types. Somehow,
i have changed my Internet shortcuts file association. All the icons now appear with a small ‘e’ as opposed to the larger ‘e’normally associated with IE.
right clicked a shortcut selected open with and the open with file type is gone. I believe it is HTTP and HTTP w/privacy.
So now all my shortcuts have changed and i need to change them back. How do i add the needed file type in the ‘open with’ dialog box?
