2 PDC Emulators in 1 Domain??!!

I have 2 DC’s thinking they are both PDC emulators of the domain. I’ve tried seizing/transfering the roles to the other and nothing changes. I’ve even tried doing a dcpromo on one that is not supposed to be the PDC and it stops shortly after it’s tries to unistall it stating that it cannot transfer the FSMO roles.

Has anyone out there experienced this before? There is an event on the real PDC emulator that says that another computer thinks it’s the PDC, event 3097, I’ve found nothing releated to this on Micorosft KB.

Please advise?
