64 bit software

I am interested to know what new abilities and functions will be available for a 64 bit chip, which has registers with the capability of 4GB times that of 32bit. Will this mean we can have instructions 4GB more complex? And if so what will they be able to do in the fields of interactive voice, video and hand writing interfaces?
