A Fix For AMD’s Adrenaline software causing performance issues?

    by ayeeyoojohnathan ·

So I’ve just performed a refresh on my laptop to get rid of a performance issue I’ve been having. I’ve tested games like cs go and Black ops 2 on the laptop after the refresh and every was working fine, 60+ fps with no stuttering. My problem arose when i connected my laptop to an external monitor, the resolution and scaling were messed up so i installed amd’s adrenaline software to fix it, which it did. but now my fps has taken a hit and there is stuttering every few seconds.
I have adjusted all of Amd’s Setting for best performance and nothing is working. My fps isn’t always low it goes up and them goes down and repeats, sorta like reving a car engine repeatedly.

    Laptop Specs:
    HP 15-f387wm
CPU: A8-7410 APU with Radeon R5 Graphics
Ram: 12 gb, 10.9 usable & 1024 mb allocated for gpu

Even i was facing the issue on my Citrix VDI, So I have realised that my AMD radeon drivers needed updating. With this in mind I installed amd adrenaline, this then caused my fps to drop significantly, into the tens and sometimes into the single digits. I saw a post explaining that you should clear previous drivers before installing new ones. With that in mind, i used amd clean utility to uninstall all drivers, i then proceeded to reinstall the new drivers. This didnt reseolve the issue, i used to get around 30 to 40 fps in high demanding games, but now i get 12 to 20. Overall this issue is really annoying me and i appreciate

Hi, I have been having the same problem with the latest 2020 patch from microsloth on the same APU in a Dell inspiron 3555. I haven’t had success with it yet, but many are pointing to the Crimson ReLive drivers.
