Some (but not all) Office Apps are closing within 4-10 seconds of being opened. (Not offering the chance to save anything, literally just window closing and App is gone!
Actions taken so far:
Updated MacAfee Virus Scan and scanned for viruses.
Installed Norton SystemWorks and ran Norton Win Doctor which revealed that there were about 86 Windows errors, which I chose to fix automatically. I uninstalled Norton SystemWorks.
Then, having re-installed Microsoft Office Professional twice (i.e. one Fix and one Re-install, the machine itself is more stable, however I have not been able to fix the underlying problem of certain Microsoft Office applications quitting by themselves within 4-10 seconds of opening them.
Those that are quitting are:
– Microsoft Word
– Microsoft Excel
– Microsoft PowerPoint
Those that are NOT quitting are:
– Microsoft Messaging
– Microsoft Access
Any ideas?
