About SQL's page

by gbworld In reply to About SQL's page

It will write 8 pages, or an extent into each block. While a page is the smallest portion of a database, space is issued in extents. If a table is created and cannot fill an extent, it will occupy a mixed extent. Once it has 8 pages, it will start doling out space in extents. When the database grows, it also grows in extents.
