ACCESS 2000 importing Data

By smlandau ·
How can I successfully import a comm delimited text file into an Access 2000 database running in Windows 2000. All I get when I try is nothing. No errors, but no data.

Have you double checked to make sure your field names are the same and that they do not have any spaces in them?

It looks like the load image of Access was not good. A reload allowed data importing as normal.

In the dataabase window LEFT mouse click on the "Tables" tab. Select "Import" and then scroll down in the "Files of Type" list and select "Text Files (*.txt, *csv, etc.) and in the Look-in box focus on your data source and click "Import". The wizard will start and it is very easy to define almost any delimiter to define exactly what you want to do.

Fun stuff and easy 2 use - have fun Don Q.
