Using the Link or Import Wizard within Access 2000, I continually receive an error ‘Cannot Update: Database or Object is Read-only’. I get the same error when converting a ’97 database (which also links to a .prn file) to 2000, or executing any macros tied to the linked file. I suspect it has something to do with the format since Access will accept the file in an Excel format. Do you have any advice?
