Every time I run Access 2000 I get:
“Preparing to install”
and then…
“Please wait while windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 Professional”
Not one of the wizards in Access will work for me, not even “Create table in Design view”
I have tried reinstalling Office 2000 totally.
I have tried the steps suggested by Microsoft in Q242218 “ACC2000: Nothing Happens When You Try to Start a Microsoft Access Wizard”
The problems have remained unchanged.
Now I am getting other problems as well:
Not being able to open a particular access database(nothing at all happens), and Access crashing with:
“This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.”
My PC is a PIII with 128M RAM 16GHD Win98SE
Virus scanner is “Innoculate” and automatically updates it’s definitions everyday.
HD has 3.75G free.
If anyone can help me I would be very grateful.
