Access 2000 unable to open Network File

Running a small Workgroup comprised of 3 machines. PC1, 2 and 3. There is a small database being shared over this network. 2MB in size. The file is currently on PC2 and can be read with no problems by PC3. The problem arises when PC1 tries to access the database. If the file is opened by double clicking the file in its network folder….then the “network folder” stops responding. If you open Access on PC1 and try to open the file from there….Access stops responding.

I have found however that if the database is placed on PC1 locally then all the machines can use the database with no problems.

All the machines are running W2K Prof & Office2K Prof.
